I Should Have Gone for That Flu Shot. . .
This is me for the past few days. Actually, this woman looks healthy in comparison to me. And the photo doesn't capture the hacking cough and wheezing that have been my constant companions since Wednesday. Nor do you get the odor of menthol and cough drops. But still, I'm sure you get the picture. Suffice it to say that you won't be seeing much of me until next week.
Michele, Feel better soon. I had it a few weeks ago and luckily it was the mildest flu I've ever had. Take care of yourself!!!

Hi Michele, I hope you're feeling better now.

Rumor has it that the flu shot would not have made a difference as the strain hitting most people this year was different. Hope you are on the mend.
p.s. Are flu shots a dead idea?

Thanks, everyone--feeling MUCH better now, which is a good thing, as I leave this afternoon for a business trip to St. Louis. :-)
Rani--interesting question about the flu shot as a dead idea. Isn't every year's cocktail based on what went around the previous year? And if so, how do they know those are the same strains that will be coming around this year?

I refuse to have the flu shot, or other vacination that aren't mandatory, IMHO they are a great way to supress your immune system from being able to fight anything.
Glad you are feeling better, wrap up warm for St. Louis.
