Make Your Blog More Visual, More Usable and More Conversational
Why This Blog is Pink in October

Blog Action Day is October 15--Are You Joining The Conversation?

Blogactionday I'm hosting next week's Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants and it's going to be a little different this time around.

Monday, October 15 is Blog Action Day when all bloggers are invited to write a post on the environment that relates to their niche.

The goal is not to further a specific environmental agenda, but instead to get conversations flowing on environmental issues and how they relate to all aspects of our lives. So I'm inviting everyone--not just the Carnival participants--to join us on Monday.

If you want to, here's how to participate:

  • On Monday, October 15, write an environmentally-related post that fits into your niche. Post it on your blog and then send me the link. If you're participating as a Carnival member, you know the drill--send an email to npc.carnival @ yahoo or complete the Blog Carnival Form. If you're participating as a Bamboo reader, email the link directly to me.
  • On Wednesday, I'll be posting the Carnival with links to all of the their blog posts. I'll also put up a post listing any Bamboo readers who decided to join in.

It may be a little tricky finding a way to tie the environment into your niche, but I think it's also a great way for us to think about the impact of the environment on our daily lives.

If you want to read this week's carnival, it's  up at Michelle Murrain's Zen and the Art of Nonprofit Technology. It's all about mistakes we've made as consultants--apparently only a few of us were ready to tackle that sensitive subject!
