Nonprofit Blogging Seminar and Some Good Resources

A few things coming through my feedreader this morning to share on nonprofit blogging:

Idealware Online Seminar on Choosing Blogging Software--July 24, 2007
First and most importantly, Idealware is sponsoring an online seminar entitled Choosing Blogging Software. It's tomorrow, July 24 from 1-2:30 p.m. EST. and is being facilitated by nptech guru, Beth Kanter who will talk you through the features, benefits, pros and cons of the 7 most popular blogging platforms. Cost is $40. Learn more about the seminar and register here.

How to Write a Nonprofit Blog That Will Be Read
Donor Power Blog author Jeff Brooks has a good post today on how to write your nonprofit blog so that others (especially donors) will want to read it. His advice?  Focus on heroes--more specifically, on donor heroes. Check out the full post to get more details.

Get Back Into Your Blogging Groove
ProBlogger Darren Rowse just concluded an excellent series, 7 Days to Rediscovering Your Blogging Groove. A full week's worth of suggestions:

  • Write a List Post
  • Answer a Question
  • Write a Review
  • Write a Link Post
  • Write a Tip Post
  • Ask a Question
  • Tell a Story

Might be a great way to organize your blog, too, so that each day is devoted to one of these types of posts.
