For over 20 years I have traveled the world, worked in various capacities in nonprofit organizations, and I have established solid youth programs that engage, encourage, and create spaces for positive development. I live for “aha” moments and true connections with others. At the core of my work is the belief that all young people deserve the best supports during their development into adulthood. That’s why I work with young people, their families, and the staff that supports them to set kids up for success. Through a strengths-based approach and trusting relationships, I model for and assist program staff in creating high quality programs and experiences for youth. I work with executive leadership to set vision, align practice with policy and to ensure that programs are of the highest quality.
In 2013 I started the
Sandbox Collective as way to reduce competition and increase collaboration among consultants who work with nonprofits and youth serving organizations. We’ve evolved from those first meetings to be a networking and professional development space for people who bring shared values to the work they do with youth, families and communicates. We meet months and serve as a space for networking, professional development, reflection and connection.
I am motivated and inspired by the words "Tikun Olam", which is hebrew for the mandate “To heal the world” and the words attributed to Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I am eager to meet you, to learn with you and to discover news ways of being a leader.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and organizations to help them bring out their best work, crafting creative gatherings that invite possibility and engage people in planning for a positive future. Supporting the development of leaders who can create real, positive and lasting change is a major passion and every project I work on is designed to help bring out the leader in every participant.
I have used my blog for years as a place to reflect on my work and to grow myself as a leader. I'm also proud of the work I've done on the Try It Tuesday blog, my 12-week entrepreneurial program, The Speedy Startup, and the Jam4Justice event I facilitated in Spring 2015. These are the ways I want to lead in the world and how I try to challenge myself on a regular basis to grow impact and create positive change.
For me, The Leadership Lab will be a place to play, experiment and learn more about how to create the space for people to fully step into their own leadership strengths and passions.
