Welcome to Jam4Justice 2015!

On April 24, 2015 the Philadelphia Youth Network and The Bamboo Project, Inc. sponsored Jam4Justice, a 7.5-hour creative blitz where teams of passionate people collaborated in developing engaging projects that help teens in our City learn about social justice--what it means for them personally, for their neighborhoods, for our city,  our nation and our world.

The Jam was a fantastic day of action, with teams creating projects ranging from a DIY musical on self-love to a 6-week curriculum that integrates digital storytelling and teaches new job skills.

Other groups created an interactive social justice card game, a city-wide project to connect with others based on our food heritage--even a new school and a youth-run cafe that teaches entrepreneurship and features youth artistic talents!

It was a fantastic day and we look forward to sponsoring more in the future.

Check out the video below to get a taste of what we created!

Special thanks to our friends at the William Way LGBT Community Center at 1315 Spruce Street for providing the space for the Jam.

What We Learned

In this video, everyone shared what they learned and were taking away from the Jam4Justice experience. This pretty much sums it up!
