Here we are at Day 2. Yesterday, you looked at how it would feel to stop thinking of yourself as "stuck" and start seeing yourself as "resting." You also had a chance to work on some images that described where you are right now and where you would like to go.
Now let's look at what you need to do today.
Today's Activities
1. Take a look at the image you did yesterday on your "stuck story." In your journal, write about the themes and stories it suggests to you. What are the key issues that jump out at you that may point to assumptions you're making or stories you may be telling yourself about where you are now? Which of these assumptions or stories may need to be challenged?
2. Look at the image you did of the future you want for yourself. What does it suggest about what you want MORE of in your life? Write about this in your journal. For example, you may see that there are a lot of pictures of nature in your image. What does this mean for you? What does it suggest about what you want more of in your life?
3. Look at your list of nice things you can do for yourself. Try to do at least one of them today.
4. Join our live Image Center session at 7:30 p.m. where tonight we'll be working on developing a transition between where you are now and where you want to be in the future.
That's it for today. See you tonight!
The questions we ask tend to lead us toward the answers. If we say, for example, "How do I solve this problem?" then inherent in that question is the idea that we're dealing with a problem. It leads us down a problem-solving road that often has us spending more time thinking about the problem, then about the solutions.
